A New Elegant Digital Picture Frame By Sony
BySony is set to introduce a Digital Picture Frame for Christmas. The 7” DPF-D72N/BQ Digital Picture Frame will sport a LCD WVGA display, comes with a remote control, has light and vivid colors, comes with a 16:10 aspect ratio LCD, has several playback options, and also has a resolution of 800×480. You can store your pics on the provided 1GB memory. As stated on Sony’s site, the internal memory is able to hold as many as 2,000 photos! This Sony digital frame can show 2 image formats: JPEG and RAW. Since every single digital cameras save in JPEG, then this Sony frame will definitely work with all digital cameras!
It is capable to work with most of the common memory cards and it is also able to receive files by using a USB port. Here is a compilation of all the many memory card formats that are supported: Secure Digital (SD), xD-picture cards, Compact Flash Card Type I and Type II, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo, and Multi-Media Card (MMC).
A couple of features include Auto Rotation and Auto Resizing, and these two features will always be very handy. What Auto Resizing manages to do, is to automatically match the pics for best fit without corrupting the photos. Auto Orientation, is able to automatically select if your pictures should be in portrait or landscape format! This enables you to set the frame vertically or horizontally, but, for best viewing, use landscape.
Additional features include a clock, calendar, and several different view modes. The digital frame will cost about 150 U.S. dollars when it comes to the marketplace.
However, there are some things that are lacking in this digital picture frame, namely video, audio, and wireless. While in today’s market wireless is everywhere, it is very interesting that Sony would release this digital picture frame that doesn’t have wireless support.
